Zamak metal elements are produced in a casting process. There may therefore be slight deviations in the size of the threading hole, and the width of the leather strap or other material may also vary minimally. To make threading easier, bevel the corners of the leather/ribbon slightly with scissors. The bevelled corners will later disappear in a clasp.
